Can it generate meeting minutes?
That's the main use. Most tools that summarise a transcript hand back a paragraph — useful for ten minutes, useless by Thursday, because you can't reassign an owner inside a paragraph or tick off the third action without rewriting it. Atlas Red produces minutes with structure: every point a topic you can move, every owner and due date a field you can sort by, every unresolved thread visibly unresolved. Circulate it as Markdown, export it to PDF, or keep working the map as the project moves.
Where do I get the transcript from?
Wherever the meeting was recorded, and in most cases it's already a file you can import as-is. Microsoft Teams — download the transcript from the meeting chat as a .docx. Google Meet — the transcript is saved to Drive as a Google Doc; download it as .docx. Zoom — cloud recordings include a .vtt caption file; import it straight in — timings, cue numbers and caption markup are stripped for you, speaker names are kept. Otter, Fireflies, Granola — copy the transcript from the web view or export it. .srt subtitle files import the same way. A file is fewer steps than a paste, so take it when your tool offers one.
Will it pick out decisions and action items?
That's what fields are for. Name Owner, Decision, Action, Due date before importing — up to 20 fields, or none — and the AI fills them on every topic, so the map sorts and filters: every action with no owner, everything due this month. Choose overview for a roughly 15-topic recap, balanced for around 40, detailed for around 100 — and add a sentence of focus if the meeting covered three things and you only care about one.
Can it summarise a transcript, rather than map all of it?

Can I paste a meeting link instead?
No. The one link Atlas Red follows is a YouTube video, whose captions YouTube itself publishes. A meeting link isn't one, so the transcript must already exist and you import or paste it. That's deliberate: tools that take a link can only reach recordings that are public, and your meetings aren't — the Zoom call about next quarter's pricing sits behind your company's login. A file or a paste works identically on internal recordings, private videos and unlisted links, and nothing breaks silently when some scraper gets rate-limited. No transcript at all? Upload the recording and it's transcribed for you.
Does speaker labelling and timestamp noise confuse it?
No — raw transcripts full of speaker names, timestamps and false starts are the normal input. Paste it as it comes; it reads for meaning.
How long a meeting can it handle?
Up to 200,000 characters — roughly a full day of talking. Over it, the import says so plainly instead of silently dropping the end, and you can go in sections.
What does it cost?
You pay what the model costs, and the app shows it per job: a full meeting transcript usually costs 10–30¢ at the Balanced setting, a page or two a few cents, Detailed more again. Every new account starts with $1 of trial credit, valid 30 days, no credit card. Then prepaid packs with no subscription and no expiry — or, with a Pro license, your own API key at no markup.
